Change Order Specialist

The Change Order Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, as well as generating reports, on open change orders throughout the process until final acceptance at the customer site. The ideal candidate must have exceptional organization skills as well as a keen attention to detail.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Processing internal change orders including checking change description accuracy, collecting required materials from various departments, and considering unforeseen obstacles through analysis of part print changes for mechanical, electrical and fluid engineering prints
  • Managing correspondence and process tracking with customers and various internal departments
  • Ensuring proper documentation is completed in regards to change order readiness prior to shipment to customer

 

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree preferred in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years machine building experience
  • Familiar with SAP is a plus, but not required

 

 

General Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to handle miscellaneous tasks and work overtime
  • The ability to problem-solve alone and in a team environment
  • The ability to remain flexible with assignment priorities
  • Proficient in reading both electrical and mechanical blueprints
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
