Commercial Cleaning Specialist

The cleaning specialist will be responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. This position requires a strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure proper separation of waste streams, including general trash, recyclables, and industrial/shop materials, in accordance with company procedures. 

  • Collect, transport, and dispose of trash and recyclables from designated locations throughout the main plant, offices, restrooms, and common areas. 

  • Service and maintain waste collection points, dumpsters, compactors, and designated disposal areas. 

  • Safely collect and dispose of used rag containers in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines. 

  • Replenish cleaning supplies as necessary and report inventory levels to the supervisor. 

  • Follow all safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and waste materials. 

  • Ensure all assigned areas are free of debris and maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work environment. 

  • Report maintenance issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards to management in a timely manner. 

  • Perform occasional deep-cleaning tasks as assigned. 

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and contribute to a positive team-oriented work environment. 

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 30+ pounds on a daily basis as part of routine job duties. 

 

 

Education & Experience Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred, but not required. 

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures. 

 

 

General Requirements: 

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently. 

  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness. 

  • Reliability and punctuality are essential. 

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
