Electrical Material Support - Wire & Cable Focus

The primary functions are to support our growth with planning, scheduling, transport, and requisitioning material related to wire and cable material. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills.  A knowledge of industrial machinery is helpful, as communicating with engineering and production teams often occurs. This role will work alongside and coordinate with other team members to ensure that all applicable material to build our equipment is available when needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with suppliers for the construction of custom-made cables for our equipment
• Requisition and maintain bulk wire and cable for in-house usage
• Utilize SAP for creating requisitions and managing stock of material
• Interface with Purchasing department for order adjustments
• Support production and engineering teams with their material requests

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Associates degree in relevant industrial or technical area preferred. 
  • Other relevant education or experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical wiring is beneficial
• Experience with SAP is beneficial
• Experience with supply chain management is beneficial

General Requirements:

• Self-motivated, with a focus on learning and improving processes
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Ability to occasionally lift 26-40 pounds when preparing materials
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Willing to travel domestic and international
• Ability to secure and maintain a valid passport
