Electrical Start-Up Technician

This position is responsible for the controls start-up, commissioning, and debug of machine tool equipment. This will include loading, testing, and troubleshooting the PLC program of the machine, editing the machine HMI, as well as troubleshooting the electrical wiring and making minor adjustment/repairs to the electrical system and the schematic. The candidate must have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience and/or education related to PLC programming. This position requires frequent travel during machine installations (mostly domestic, some international) where the technician will interface with customers directly.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- NC programming and troubleshooting
- Robot programming and integration (ABB & Fanuc)
- Electrical hardware troubleshooting
- Servo drive parameterization and tuning
- Networking of machines to plant network and other machines
- Assist with customer part runoffs and final acceptance
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics and Automation, or similar program
- PLC or CNC programming experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Beckhoff knowledge preferred)
- General PC and Networking skills
- 2 years’ relevant experience preferred

- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Willing to travel domestic and international
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport
