The Simulation Engineer is responsible for independently designing, developing, and maintaining digital twins (virtual commissioning) and material flow simulations for advanced manufacturing and automation systems. This role involves creating high‑fidelity simulation models and collaborating closely with internal teams and customers to ensure accurate, efficient digital representations of complex equipment. A structured onboarding and training period will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into all responsibilities.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital twins for virtual commissioning using 3D simulation software
  • Build and manage material flow simulations for machining, assembly, and automation systems in close collaboration with customers and internal departments
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve a modular component library that accurately reflects real machine behavior
  • Enhance and expand concepts for virtual commissioning and digitalization of manufacturing systems
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams throughout the simulation development and deployment process
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, communicate results clearly to internal stakeholders and customers, and support data‑driven decision making

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with virtual commissioning or simulation environments is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of electrical design and basic programming skills (e.g., C#, Visual Basic) is beneficial
  • Familiarity with industrial robotics, automation systems, or machine controls is a plus
  • Experience with (e.g., Beckhoff, Siemens TIA) is beneficial
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
