Tool Crib Attendant

The primary responsibility of the Tool Crib Attendant will be the preparation and building of all cutting tools needed for production. The ideal candidate will work closely with others in the Tooling, Fixturing, Programming and Machining departments to ensure all tools are built to specifications required for Machining. This individual must be willing to work 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday (4 days per week), for at least 5 years. In addition, all 2nd shift positions receive a $4.00 shift premium.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Determine the most efficient processing steps to build tooling while maintaining product quality
- Frequent inspection of tooling and equipment for wear, defects or damage
- Inventory, store and distribute cutting tools, hand tools and other equipment
- Perform machinery maintenance as needed
- Safely and efficiently transport equipment and materials
- Additional tasks as required
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Previous machining experience a plus, but not required
- Must be able to accurately read print parts
- Must exhibit a clear understanding of the metric system and proficient math skills
- Must have experience with various cutting tools
- Basic computer operating skills
General Requirements:
- Self-motivated
- Able to work independently and in a team setting
- Exhibit problem solving capabilities
- Willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by the company
- Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift temporarily or permanently
